No body regulates the internet. But there's some groups that controls the internet, that's
- The internet society
- The internet architecture board
- Internet engineering task force
- InterNIC
- PFIR-People for Internet Responsibility
- ICANN
Personally, do you think there should be internet censorship?
Yes, there should have internet censorship. Because this is can filter the website's contets, to access the information from the internet. And it also to control the operations, development, management, and regulation of the Internet.

Perhaps you have a point Kevin in having a certain degree on internet censorship, say towards porn or hate websites.
ReplyDeleteBut yet again, censoring a part of its content can change its meanings and purposes ENTIRELY. I would say if one wants to censor something, my as well censor the whole damn thing rather than just a part of it.

Internet filtering is good in some point of view, I agree with you some how but I think that, too much censorship is not fair to the society. When comes to the thing we deserve a truth, as example, the Bersih 2.0 activity, what is the truth? Internet? News? It confuse the society all the filtering.

Well, i agree with you that there should be internet censorship, because it is good to have censorship methods to auto filter the website to prevent negative information from interrupting the site. Some more, sites like Youtube also have a method that confirms that the user is suitable to view the video by checking the age from e-mail addresses.

I totally agree with you that internet censorship is something important that we need to understand and be open to this. It is true that information maybe hard to be spread then. But to censor certain website is the way to minimize websites which had porn in it.

Yes, we know best is should be internet censorship. Between that, the primary responsibility for determining what speech to access should remain with the individual Internet user instead of parents should take primary responsibility for determining what their children should access also.
