Are you aware of this? Would you still stay on Facebook after knowing this?
From secondary school till now, I will always be aware of this matters. Ever since my parents told me about people stealing pictures and put on the internet, I had started to be aware of all these issues. Back then, before I sign up Facebook, Friendster is quite popular that time and I signed up for it to explore and had fun. But after knowing the privacy issues, I deactivated all my Friendster accounts for safety. Now about the Facebook privacy issues, I still aware of it, I seldom upload profile pictures and sometimes changes my password to avoid hackers to hack me, but i'm still active in social networking. I will sometimes update my status, but not my profile information, to avoid unnecessary disturb.
Well, I will definitely stay on Facebook no matter what because sometimes we have to keep in touch with friends and family, just have to take more precautions about the privacy issues and make sure that sensitive status should not be posted.

Indeed, we should be really careful from the start that social network really quite fun to have. But to limit ourselves when we are socializing with 'online friends'. Besides, if we are not aware of this privacy issues, this can lead to many kind of problems where our pictures being used wrongly.

ReplyDeleteI think most of us must aware of this and try our best to prevent, may be just spend few seconds change the privacy of pictures that only who can see your photo album, such as public, friends, only me or custom. Just a tiny step we already can prevent those bad things.
Have to agree with your statment we should be careful as there are many people that love to missuse the internet. We must do our part and try best to prevent people from missusing people photo.
